An homage to a photographer whose lens captured the voices that shaped our time. His face fills the canvas in cool blues and greens, steady and direct, as if he is still looking back at us through the camera. Around him, fragments of everyday South Africa drift in and out: the word "Eskom," scattered numbers, a car sketched in passing, and the words "eternal life" written across his cheek. The painting holds on to his memory as these voices begin to fade, insisting that the people who document our story deserve to be remembered too.
