The Process & Logistics

  • Q: What is the process for commissioning a custom mural?

A: It starts with a consultation to understand your vision, wall size, and location. I’ll then provide a concept sketch and a quote. Once approved, we schedule the painting days!

  • Q: How long does a typical mural take to complete?

A: It depends on the size and detail. A standard residential wall might take 1–3 days, while a large commercial facade or multi-story building can take 1–2 weeks.

  • Q: Do I need to prepare or prime the wall before you start painting?

A: A clean, primed wall is always best for longevity. I can include wall preparation and priming in my quotation if you need me to handle it.

  • Q: Can you paint on any surface?

A: Yes! I have experience painting on smooth plaster, rough brick, corrugated iron, and wood. The surface texture will just inform the techniques and materials I use.

Pricing & Booking

  • Q: How do you price your murals? Is it per square meter?

A: Pricing is generally calculated per square meter, but it also factors in the complexity of the design, equipment needed (like scaffolding or cherry pickers), and travel.

  • Q: Do you travel outside of Cape Town for mural projects?

A: Yes. While I am based in Cape Town, I am available for commissions across South Africa and internationally. Travel and accommodation costs will be factored into the project quote.

Style & Services

  • Q: Do you paint residential homes, or only commercial buildings?

A: Both! I do large-scale commercial branding and corporate spaces, as well as private residential commissions (feature walls, boundary walls, bedrooms).

  • Q: Can I request a specific portrait, or do you only paint in your signature style?

A: I specialize in my signature expressive, fine-art street style (like my Brenda Fassie or Hugh Masekela pieces), but I work collaboratively with clients to ensure the subject matter aligns with your vision.

  • Q: Do you host graffiti or street art workshops?

A: Yes, I offer creative workshops and team-building sessions. Please reach out via WhatsApp or email to discuss group sizes and rates.

  • Q: Do you also do canvas work or fine art, or just walls?

A: I am a multi-disciplinary artist. Alongside large-scale murals, I create fine art pieces on canvas. You can inquire about available studio pieces or private commissions.

Discovering Our Work

  • Q: Where can I see your murals in person around Cape Town?

A: You can find my large-scale works in Langa, Woodstock, the CBD, and surrounding areas. Check the "Updates" section on this profile for specific map locations of my public pieces!

  • Q: Do you work with community projects or NGOs?

A: Yes, community and social justice walls are a core part of my ethos. If you are an NGO or community organization, please reach out to discuss potential collaborations.
