A collaboration between Myself, Martin Lunt and Ralph Zimmerman, Resistance was painted in the rough neighborhood of Manenberg were the sounds of related gang violence is a common sound to be heard in parks that should be filled with the laughter of youth. This piece a protest to that reality. No child should have to play behind fences, be driven away from spaces that allow them the license to be carefree and allow their imaginations to run wild. Resistance is their protest filled with laughter and joy, pushing back against the realities of the context they live in.
